ABOUT KAGE

Currently, Kage is a modification to the leveling and class system of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Using the Naruto series as an aesthetic blueprint, The foundation of the Clans combines racial and class selection into one. Additionally, rather than gaining new features upon level up, the players gain Action Points (AP) that they can spend in Enhancement Trees that allows for more personal and custom character builds. The goal is to properly integrate enhancement trees, typically found in MMORPGs, onto a tabletop space. This is meant to be a bridge between the two genres, with the ideal audience being players of tabletop RPGs and MMORPGs. The deliverable for the project is a “Player’s Handbook” pdf.

The contents of the pdf should describe in detail all the modifications to the base Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition game, so existing content for the game can be easily translated to work with Kage's leveling system. Currently, new features created with Kage's leveling system in mind cannot be used in standard 5th edition games unless the Dungeon Master and players find a way to homebrew it in themselves.
